Our Mission

Our mission at Yarrow Hospice is to provide the best possible care -body, mind and spirit, for our patients and their families. We are successful only by employing the most competent and passionate team members in our profession, who provide connection, empathy, and guidance to those we serve. To create a supportive environment, we hold space for our team where they feel understood, cared for, valued and respected. Through spiritual and personal growth opportunities we learn a deeper sense of compassion and continued dedication to our patients. As the Guardians of this process, our focal point is to support our staff members so they can give their attention to what is most important; quality of life to those we care for.

What is Hospice?

Hospice is a philosophy of care that provides an all-inclusive support system to the "Caregiver Team", which includes the patient and family. Your support system is a team of professionals that come to assist you in the comfort of your own home. At Yarrow your support system consists of:

NURSE - Educates you regarding your diagnosis and the upcoming changes likely to occur during your care program and manages your symptoms.
CNA - Provides support for your daily cares and comfort needs.
CHAPLAIN - Provides spiritual insights and direction.
SOCIAL WORKER - Provides emotional care for needed members of the caregiver team.
MD - Oversees the entire process.

These professionals are experts who have been specifically trained to meet your needs during this uncertain time. This team is here to serve, honor and protect this process promoting comfort and connection between patients, families & staff members.

Elderly care, or simply eldercare (also known as aged care), is the fulfillment of the special needs and requirements that are unique to senior citizens. This broad term encompasses such services as assisted living, adult day care, long-term care, nursing homes, hospice care, and home care.

Yarrow offers affordable in-home care services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for those who need it. You’ll work with a care coordinator at your local office to set a care schedule.
